LIE: We are building about three times more roads than what was being constructed earlier

The daily highway construction was about 13 km between 2011-12 and 2013-14 (three years). In comparison, average daily highway construction during the first three years of the Modi government (2014-15 to 2016-17) was 17 km which 1.3 times than UPA which not much of an increase and definitely not three times. LIE: New systems are emerging. Today roads are being built at twice the speed

According to Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, roads were built at the fastest speed during 2012 – 2013 which includes national and state highways, rural and urban roads. The PM conveniently didn’t mention the time period of comparison.
