LIE: Such a big secular person like Nehru … why did he not use then all citizens instead of minorities there?

Modi Lies / Thursday, February 6th, 2020

Mr. Modi’s repeated references to Pandit Nehru to validate his decisions reminds one, of this quote by Confucius:

“What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others.”

What is disappointing though is Mr. Modi, who lacks vision himself, LIES about the visionary thoughts of Pandit Nehru as well.

Modi referring to the Nehru-Liaquat Pact to defend the exclusion of Muslims from the CAA ‘19 said,

“Such a big secular person like Nehru, such a great thinker, such a big visionary; and everything to you, why did he not use then all citizens instead of minorities there? There must have been some reason,”

But this again was a LIE!

Here’s the reality of what Nehru said during the Nehru-Liaquat Pact:

The very first line of the Nehru-Liaquat pact mentioned “irrespective of religion”.

The first line of the April 8, 1950, agreement reads:

“The Governments of India and Pakistan solemnly agree that each shall ensure to the minorities through its territory, complete equality of citizenship, irrespective of religion, a full sense of security in respect of life, culture, property and personal honour, freedom of movement within each country and freedom of occupation, speech and worship, subject to law and morality.”

Irrespective of how many times Mr.Modi tries to misappropriate our Nation’s founding fathers, the truth always comes back to bite him!
