LIE: At 7.3%, the average GDP growth over the entire term of our Government, has been the highest for any Indian Government since 1991

Modi Lies / Friday, January 18th, 2019

The back series data released by MOSPI clearly indicated that GDP growth touched a high of 10.08% in 2006-07 in terms of factor cost, the highest since liberalisation of the economy in 1991. In terms of market prices, the highest growth was 10.78% in 2010-11. UPA was the only government that delivered double-digit growth in its 10 year period. As soon the report was released, it was put under drafts and was re-released later with the NITI Aayog with fudged numbers. This is the only country where the numbers are faked to please the ego of our PM.
